All access requests must go through Jessica, the Wellness Coordinator. This is meant to streamline the process and ensure that everyone has completed the necessary paperwork. Do You Have a Chronic Condition? Register for the 6-Week Chronic Disease Workshop!
The Chronic Disease Self-Management program is a FREE 6-week workshop for people with ongoing health conditions.You will learn empowering, research-based healing skills to help you cope with life challenges and stressful conditions in a supportive small group setting. All participants will receive the book, Living a Healthy Life With Chronic Conditions, 4th Ed. Please speak to your manager for approval to attend on days you are scheduled to work. Attendance will be supported by paid work time through the modified work budget. REGISTER TODAY!

Green Shield Canada’s (GSC) Dietitian Health Coaching Program Now Available to HHS Plan Members!
Effective March 1, 2017, all employees and eligible dependents of HHS who are enrolled in the Extended Health Care (EHC) benefit plan with GSC will have access to health coaching with a registered dietitian, to a maximum of $200. The program is available at participating Loblaws or Sobeys locations, including the Sobeys located at 977 Golf Links Rd. in Ancaster.
Eating sensibly can be very challenging at times. If you feel that you could make healthier food choices, but aren’t quite sure where to start, this program can help! For more information on how the program works, please click here to view Green Shield’s communication.

Shine Employee Wellness Centres at HHS!
Did you know that there are Shine Employee Wellness Centres at King West, JHCC, MUMC, SPH and HGH for all HHS staff, physicians and volunteers? We are excited to announce that the centre is now open for use, but there is a brief orientation process you must go through to gain 24/7 badge access to the centre.

The Hamilton Trail Blazers are an outdoor enthusiast group serving the Hamilton and surrounding areas. They feature outdoor events year-round for all skill levels, including hiking, mountain biking, cycling, kayaking and social gatherings.
